Our client in the publishing industry is seeking a results-driven Business & Monetization Manager to lead revenue growth and business operations within their publishing division.
This role is responsible for transforming content into sustainable income streams while ensuring financial efficiency and profitability across all publishing activities.
The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen with data-driven decision-making to optimize monetization strategies across print and digital platforms. You will work cross-functionally with editorial, sales, marketing, and finance teams to drive revenue, build strategic partnerships, and scale digital monetization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute revenue and monetization strategies (subscriptions, ads, licensing, digital products, etc.)
- Drive financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Analyze market trends, audience data, and performance metrics to improve ROI
- Lead business development efforts including partnerships, sponsorships, and distribution deals
- Optimize digital revenue channels (paywalls, subscriptions, ad inventory, content bundling)
- Collaborate with internal teams to align content with commercial goals
Requirements
- 3–7+ years’ experience in monetization, business development, or digital media
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth
- Experience in publishing, media, or content-driven businesses is an advantage
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field
