Job summary
We are seeking a highly analytical, commercially minded, and client-facing Business & Investment Advisory Officer to support strategic business and investment decision-making alongside the CEO. This role combines business administration, investment advisory, research, and relationship management responsibilities. The successful candidate will evaluate business opportunities, analyze investment risks and returns, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives. The role is ideal for a candidate with a background in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or investment-related disciplines who is eager to grow into a strategic advisory position.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate business and investment opportunities by analyzing risks, returns, and long-term profitability.
- Conduct market, financial, and operational research to guide decision-making.
- Support the CEO in assessing proposals, partnerships, and investment ideas.
- Classify investment opportunities into low, medium, and high-risk categories with recommendations.
- Liaise with clients, partners, and executing bodies to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Track performance of investments and business initiatives using reports and dashboards.
- Prepare analytical reports, summaries, and presentations for management review.
- Serve as a relationship manager between internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Monitor ongoing projects and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Investment, or related field.
- MBA, MSc Finance, or related postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business analysis, investment, finance, or advisory role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
- Ability to use Excel dashboards, Power BI, or similar data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management ability.
- Commercially aware and business-oriented mindset.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in investment advisory, consulting, or corporate finance.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Exposure to portfolio management or wealth management concepts.
Key Deliverables (First 3–6 Months):
- Develop a structured Memorandum of Operations (MO) for business and investment strategy.
- Produce a clear investment framework categorizing risk levels and capital allocation strategies.
- Review past business activities and recommend improvements.
- Identify new viable investment and business opportunities.
- Establish reporting dashboards and performance tracking systems
