Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Generation: Target, map, and secure meetings with key decision-makers (Brand Managers, CMOs, Corporate Comms Leads, and Agency Producers) across Nigeria.
    Consultative Pitching: Translate HeartLens’s high-end production capabilities into compelling business arguments. You won’t just sell "videos"; you will sell engagement, retention, and ROI.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Drive deals from initial cold outreach through to final contract signing, protecting studio margins while structuring creative win-win partnerships.
  • Market Intelligence: Collaborate with our internal Business Analyst to identify high-conversion verticals (e.g., fast-growing fintechs, FMCGs launching new SKUs, retail brands) and tailor pitches accordingly.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: As a senior member of the foundational team, I help establish our sales processes, build client-relationship management infrastructure, and mentor future junior sales hires.


Requirements:

  • The Corporate-Creative Hybrid: You have a proven track record of driving high-volume sales or corporate accounts (experience at a major multinational, FMCG like NBC, or a top-tier ad agency is highly valued), but you possess a deep appreciation for branding, lateral thinking, and storytelling.
  • Lagos Market Savvy: You understand the nuances, paces, and decision-making structures of the Nigerian business landscape. You know how to navigate gatekeepers and build genuine professional trust.
  • Data-Driven Closer: You don't just rely on "vibes" to sell. You use market insights, audience data, and clear ROI metrics to handle objections and justify premium pricing tiers.
  • Resilient & Autonomous: You thrive in an early-stage startup environment. You are highly organized, comfortable with ambiguity, and possess the "hustle" required to build a pipeline from scratch.
