The business development officer will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and managing client relationships, and actively supporting operational execution.

Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Client Acquisition:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with corporate and individual clients.
- Actively market transport services to organisations, schools, logistics users, and fleet clients.
- Conduct field visits, presentations, and direct sales engagements.
- Prepare and submit proposals, quotations, and service agreements.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Gather client feedback and recommend service improvements.
Hands-On Operations Support:
- Liaise closely with drivers, dispatch, and operations teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client agreements.
- Monitor trips, routes, schedules, and service performance when required.
- Step in to resolve operational issues affecting customers in real time.
- Support onboarding of new clients and ensure smooth service commencement.
Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing structures, and competitor activities.
- Recommend new service offerings, route expansions, and pricing strategies.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, leads, and conversion rates.
Revenue & Performance Tracking:
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Track leads, client conversions, and contract renewals.
- Maintain accurate sales and client records.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience.
- A minimum of a degree in a related field.
