Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to increase company revenue and market share.
  • Identify and pursue new customers, business opportunities, markets, and potential partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Promote the company's products and services, including fuel, cooking gas/LPG, and accessories and all related services.
  • Monitor sales performance and develop initiatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
  • Develop proposals, quotations, and business presentations for prospective clients.
  • Negotiate business deals and commercial agreements in line with company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for bulk sales, corporate customers, dealers, distributors, and other strategic accounts.
  • Follow up on leads and convert potential customers into active business accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of customers, prospects, sales activities, and business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the sales, operations, finance, and management teams to ensure smooth execution of business activities.
  • Monitor competitors and recommend strategies to maintain Toyapa Oil & Gas's competitive position.
  • Handle customer concerns and ensure that important client relationships are properly managed.
  • Prepare regular business development and sales reports for management.
  • Develop initiatives to improve customer retention and encourage repeat business.
  • Represent the company at relevant business meetings, networking events, and other industry engagements.
  • Ensure all business development activities comply with company policies, safety requirements, and applicable industry regulations.


Requirements:

  • HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related role, preferably in the oil & gas, energy, FMCG, or retail sector.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of customer relationship management and sales strategies.
  • Strong business and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into profitable business.
  • Good leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the local market and relevant oil & gas products will be an advantage.

  • Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Growth in revenue and customer base.
  • Number of new customers and business accounts acquired.
  • Customer retention and repeat business.
  • Number and value of successful business partnerships.
  • Profitability of new business opportunities.

  • Timely submission of sales and business development report
