Job summary

We require an astute Business Development Manager that can grow the business through their experience in marketing and their network of potential clients. The role is focused on driving sustainable growth, expanding market presence, and building long-term partnerships. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Manager (Group Level) based in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and strengthening the market position of all three companies.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across all companies
  • Develop and maintain strong client and partner relationships
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and pitches
  • Lead negotiations and close deals
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis
  • Develop sales strategies and growth plans
  • Manage sales pipelines and revenue forecasts
  • Collaborate with operations and project teams
  • Represent the companies at meetings, events, and industry forums
  • Monitor performance and prepare growth reports


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in business development or sales
  • Proven track record of closing deals and meeting targets
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and strategically
  • Strong analytical and planning abilities
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • Experience in construction, retail, or media industry (an advantage)
  • Business development and revenue generation
  • Strategic partnerships and relationship management
  • Sales negotiation and closing
  • Market research and opportunity analysis
  • Proposal writing and presentation skills
  • Strong communication and persuasion abilities
  • Lead generation and pipeline management
