Design by Chloe is a new interior design company, specializing in intentional spaces for childhood. ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to manage the affairs and drive revenue growth within the brand. The ideal candidate will operate as the Founder’s strategic support, driving business growth, supporting brand development, and achieving revenue targets.
LOCATION:
Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Remote, with in-person meetings once a week or as required
Must be able to commute for sales meetings when needed
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a deep understanding of the brand’s clientele and target audience to identify new leads and business opportunities.
- Conduct market research to uncover new revenue streams, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
- Provide the Founder with data-driven insights to support strategic sales and business development decisions.
- Plan, manage, and oversee new market entry initiatives.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and supporting documents for client projects.
- Maintain strong client relationships through periodic outreach and updates on new offerings.
- Collaborate with technical teams and contractors to ensure client requirements are met.
- Negotiate effectively with clients and contractors via phone, email, and in person.
- Promote the company’s products and services while addressing client needs and anticipating objections.
- Recommend and attend relevant industry events to strengthen brand visibility and partnership pipelines.
- Keep accurate records of sales, revenue, invoices, and other key data needed to evaluate performance and set targets.
- Develop sales goals for the brand and ensure achievement through coordinated efforts with the Founder and contractors.
- Submit periodic sales progress reports and ensure all data is accurate and up to date.
- Track account activity, support deal closures, and consistently drive toward revenue targets.
- Develop a strong understanding of the brand’s identity and recommend improvements to enhance market perception.
- Ensure all sales and reporting documents—such as sales sheets and invoice data—are updated at required intervals.

- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in the Interior Design industry is required
- A strong existing network of prospective clientele
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in children’s products or children-focused service sectors
