Job summary
Driving sustainable revenue growth across the company's service lines by developing and executing winning commercial strategies, building high-value client relationships and securing contracts within the upstream oil and gas sector across IOCs, Marginal Field Operators, and Independents. Responsibilities:
Strategy & Growth:
- Design and implement a business development strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and drives sustainable revenue expansion.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across International Oil Companies (IOCs), Marginal Field Operators, and Independent operators to drive market expansion and revenue growth.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for expansion into new service lines that align with business growth objectives.
- Develop and penetrate new client segments to broaden market reach and increase revenue potential.
Sales & Pipeline Management:
- Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline from lead generation to contract closure
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline visibility to management
Bids & Commercials:
- Lead end-to-end bid strategy covering tender identification, evaluation, and submission
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs for technical and commercial proposals
- Drive pricing strategy and contract negotiations to secure favourable commercial terms
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers in target organisations
- Convert relationships into long-term contracts, repeat business, and high client retention
Market Intelligence & Performance Tracking:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics
- Track key performance metrics including win rates, deal values, and client profitability to refine strategy Key Responsibilities What We’re Looking For
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- MBA or any relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
- Professional certification in sales, marketing, or contract management is an added advantage
- 8–10 years’ experience in business development or sales within the oil & gas sector
- Proven track record of securing and closing multi-million-dollar contracts
- Strong network within the Nigerian upstream industry (IOCs, independents, marginal field operators)
- Experience in oilfield services or energy services environment preferred
