He/she will identify opportunities, build relationships with clients and partners, and develop strategies

Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement business development strategies, marketing plans, and sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective projects in electrical, solar, CCTV, and procurement services.
- Prepare business proposals, bids, and tender documents for government and private sector projects.
- Lead strategic planning meetings to align technical and marketing efforts with company objectives.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
- Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and agreements with clients and partners.
- Ensure timely follow-up on leads, inquiries, and proposals to secure projects.
- Represent the company in meetings, exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry conferences.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and handle escalated client concerns professionally.
Project Acquisition & Coordination
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities in renewable energy, industrial electrification, technical installations and procurement contracts
- Work closely with the technical department to prepare accurate proposals and cost estimates.
- Coordinate project handover from business development to operations after contract signing.
- Track project performance and client feedback to improve service delivery.
- Support the tendering and procurement process to ensure compliance with client and company standards.
Revenue Growth & Reporting
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual business growth targets.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics and prepare periodic management reports.
- Provide accurate forecasting for revenue, expenses, and potential project opportunities.
- Ensure business operations are financially sustainable and contribute to profitability.
Brand Development & Marketing Support
- Strengthen the company’s brand visibility through strategic marketing campaigns (digital and offline).
- Supervise the marketing/promotions team (including Business Promoters) to ensure consistent branding and performance.
- Oversee digital presence (website, social media, LinkedIn, etc.) to attract clients and showcase projects.
- Coordinate publication of project profiles, case studies, and marketing materials.
Partnership Development
- Build partnerships with solar manufacturers, distributors, and financing institutions for project collaboration.
- Liaise with NGOs, government agencies, and donor-funded organisations for electrification and renewable energy projects.
- Develop strategic alliances that expand the company’s technical capacity and access to new markets.
Leadership & Team Support
- Supervise and mentor sales, marketing, and business development staff.
- Lead by example in professionalism, client service, and target achievement.
- Foster collaboration between departments — technical, admin, and procurement — to deliver value-driven solutions.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./B.Eng./HND) in Business Administration, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in business development, marketing, or project acquisition, preferably in solar, electrical, or construction industries.
- Proven record of securing major contracts or partnerships.
- Experience in tendering processes and client negotiations.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian energy and infrastructure markets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Sound knowledge of solar energy systems, industrial electrical installations, and CCTV/security systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital marketing tools.
- Strategic thinking and business forecasting ability.
- Financial literacy — ability to understand budgets, quotations, and profitability.
