Job summary
A Logistics company is seeking an experienced and strategic Business Development Manager to drive business growth and expand the company's market presence in Lagos State. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and executing sales strategies, and building strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Generate leads, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close new business deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, key stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with the Operations, Customer Service, and Finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver compelling business presentations, proposals, and quotations.
- Manage the sales pipeline and maintain accurate records of business development activities.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and client acquisition targets.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and business meetings to enhance brand visibility.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market intelligence, and business development activities to Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in business development or sales, preferably within the logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and business growth targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
