Job summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships with potential customers, working closely with the Managing Director, and overseeing the on-site operation. Similarly, as the Business Development Manager, you will take the lead in the development of new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities with potential customers at all stages of the sales cycle, including targeting, prospecting, and presenting compelling business propositions.
  • Prepare and present powerful, persuasive sales presentations that effectively demonstrate the value proposition of Zagus Power System Ltd..
  • Develop and maintain a robust deal pipeline toward targeted entities to continuously grow the business and generate sales.
  • Effectively manage large-scale, complex contract negotiations and close new business deals with customers, working closely with the head of business development.
  • Maintain consistent sales growth by continuously establishing new accounts and maintaining existing accounts.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan that meets or exceeds established sales goals and supports the Company's revenue and profitability targets.
  • Attend conferences and professional association meetings and promote Zagus Power System Ltd.
  • Prepare and give business reviews and presentations to the senior management team on a monthly basis.
  • To identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, cold calling, and networking within sectors like telecommunications, healthcare, and data centers.
  • To collaborate with technical teams to design bespoke energy solutions and prepare persuasive commercial bids and tenders.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of the competitive landscape for UPS, inverters, and battery products to refine the company's value proposition.
  • To oversee the entire sales process from initial contact and negotiation to deal closure and client handover.



Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, with an MBA, BSC in Marketing, Economics, or other related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical B2B sales or business development specifically within the power, UPS, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of power backup systems, battery storage (e.g., Lithium-ion), solar inverters, and voltage stabilization technology.
  • Advanced negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in CRM software(like Salesforce or HubSpot), Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workplace.
  • Mobility: A willingness to travel regionally for site visits and client meetings.
