We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and drive revenue growth for the company. Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the construction sector to drive revenue growth and achieve assigned sales targets.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to generate leads, convert prospects into clients, and expand the company's market presence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, serving as a key point of contact for business opportunities and inquiries.
- Monitor, evaluate, and pursue relevant bid and tender opportunities, coordinating the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and prequalification documents.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and agreements with clients while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities, new sectors, geographic markets, and potential clients for expansion.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, exhibitions, and stakeholder engagements to strengthen the company's visibility and business network.
- Prepare and present periodic business development reports, including sales pipeline updates, conversion rates, market intelligence, and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of business development, sales, marketing, or client relationship management experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of securing contracts and achieving sales targets.
- Strong business development and sales skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong proposal writing and tender management experience.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Strong analytical and market research skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
