Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive – WageX to drive the acquisition and growth of employer partnerships for our salary advance solution.

Responsibilities:
Employer Acquisition & Business Development:
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified employers that meet WageX eligibility requirements.
- Identify and engage CEOs, founders, HR/People leaders, Finance teams, Payroll teams and other senior decision-makers.Generate new business through outbound prospecting, referrals, professional networks and market research.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing employer partners.
- Meet agreed business development and employer acquisition targets
- Sales & Employer Onboarding
- Understand prospective employers' workforce structure, payroll processes and employee needs.
- Present and position WageX as a relevant salary-access and financial-wellness solution.Manage the sales cycle from initial contact through discovery, presentations, proposals, negotiations and closing.
- Coordinate employer due diligence, documentation and agreement execution.
- Work with Risk, Compliance, Credit, Operations and Product teams to ensure successful onboarding.
Employee Activation & Account Growth:
- Support employee sensitisation, registration and activation following employer onboarding.
- Work with employer partners to encourage employee adoption and product utilisation.
- Identify opportunities to increase utilisation and grow existing employer accounts.
- Resolve onboarding or commercial issues and coordinate with relevant internal teams.
- Generate qualified referrals and identify additional partnership opportunities.
Pipeline Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline records.
- Track prospects, opportunity stages, decision-makers, next actions and expected close dates.
- Provide regular reports on pipeline development, employer acquisition, onboarding, activation and revenue performance.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity and provide insights to improve employer targeting and sales strategies.
Compliance & Professional Representation:
- Represent MIM Finance and WageX professionally in all employer interactions.
- Ensure sales activities, proposals and commitments comply with approved product, pricing, credit, risk, data-protection and regulatory requirements.
- Follow appropriate due diligence and compliance processes throughout the employer acquisition cycle.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Business Development, Corporate Sales, Partnerships or Relationship Management.
- Direct experience in fintech or financial services is required.
- Demonstrable experience in B2B/corporate sales, employer acquisition, partnership development or business account acquisition.
- Experience engaging senior decision-makers such as CEOs, founders, HR leaders, Finance teams, Payroll teams or business owners.
- Practical knowledge of financial products such as digital lending, consumer finance, salary/payroll-backed credit, banking, payments or microfinance.
- Understanding of financial-services due diligence and regulated sales processes, including KYB/KYC, credit, risk and compliance requirements.
- Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, relationship management and closing skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to work in a target-driven environment.
- Good CRM, pipeline management and reporting skills.
- An existing network of HR, Finance, Payroll or corporate decision-makers will be an advantage.

Compensation & Commission:
- Remuneration: NGN 250,000–400,000 gross monthly
