Job summary

We are seeking a Business Development Consultant to drive client acquisition and partnerships for our Canadian immigration law firm in Nigeria. The role involves outreach, strategy development, and relationship building with potential clients and organizations to generate leads for immigration services.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting outreach to prospective clients, educational institutions, organizations, businesses, and community networks to promote the firm’s services and increase client acquisition.
  • Represent the firm professionally in meetings, presentations, networking opportunities, and partnership discussions.
  • Developing and implementing business growth strategies
  • Identifying target markets
  • Maintaining outreach pipelines
  • Creating structured action plans to support the firm’s long-term expansion objectives in Nigeria.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred OR Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, International Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Must Reside in Abuja.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, client acquisition, partnerships, or relationship management
  • Strong ability to identify leads, build pipelines, and convert prospects into clients
  • Ability to develop and execute outreach and growth strategies independently
  • Professional presence and ability to confidently represent a corporate or legal brand
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships
  • Experience working with or selling professional services (legal, immigration, education, consulting, or similar) is an asset
  • High level of organization, self-motivation, and target-driven performance
  • Comfortable conducting in-person meetings, presentations, and outreach engagements
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and basic reporting systems is an advantage
  • Understanding of immigration services or international education markets is preferred but not required
