Job summary

The Business Development Agent is responsible for promoting the company’s loan services, recovering outstanding loans while identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships. This involves reaching out to potential clients, marketing loan products, and encouraging loan applications. It also includes following up on overdue accounts.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Promote the company’s loan products to potential customers by clearly explaining loan terms,
  • processes, and requirements.
  • Conduct initial screening of loan applicants to ensure they meet basic eligibility requirements.
  • Assist customers in completing loan application forms by accurately capturing their personal and
  • financial details.
  • Periodic field visits to generate new loan prospects.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to clients with overdue loans to discuss repayment options and encourage
  • prompt settlement.
  • Make regular follow-up phone calls to remind clients of outstanding payments and to negotiate
  • feasible repayment plans.
  • Escalate difficult or unresolved cases to the senior business development manager for further action.
  • Build & Maintain Customer Relationship
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients throughout the loan cycle, from application
  • to repayment.
  • Provide timely support and clear communication to help clients understand their loan obligations.
  • Handle client complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • Relevant professional certifications.
  • 1-3 years of work experience or similar role in the within financial sector.In-depth knowledge of CBN regulations and basic regulatory compliance.
  • Understanding of Loan operations in Nigeria.
