Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Business Developer to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strong client relationships, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will be confident in engaging prospective clients, promoting engineering and construction services, following up on enquiries and quotations

Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across construction, engineering, facility management, and related industries.
- Build relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, project owners, facility managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Arrange and attend client meetings to present the company's services and capabilities.
- Promote services including Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP), HVAC systems, fire protection systems, electrical installations, water treatment solutions, refrigeration systems, facility maintenance, and related engineering services.
- Follow up on enquiries, RFQs, proposals, quotations, and customer feedback.
- Prepare and send company profiles, proposals, technical documents, and quotations to clients.
- Manage the sales cycle from lead generation through negotiation, contract award, and project handover.
- Conduct regular site visits to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, and sales activities using CRM software.
- Prepare daily and weekly business development reports.
- Collaborate with technical and project teams to meet customer requirements.
- Conduct market research and monitor competitors, industry trends, and upcoming projects.
- Develop long-term customer relationships to generate repeat business.
- Represent the company professionally at meetings, networking events, and industry functions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2–4 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, Construction, Engineering, MEP, Real Estate, or Facility Management.
- Good understanding of the Nigerian construction and engineering industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to engage confidently with senior executives, consultants, contractors, and project owners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Strong report writing and professional email communication skills.
- Highly organised, proactive, target-driven, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- A valid driver's licence is an added advantage.
