Sling and Stones is a fashion resale platform, dedicated to extending the lifecycle of quality garments.

We saw a cycle that needed changing, the journey of garments from manufacturer to consumer to trash.

We exist to challenge that.

Garments should move from person to person, carrying their beauty forward to whoever needs them next, because value should not be lost simply due to time or trend.

Role Overview

Are you interested in sustainability and fashion? Do you know your way around a TikTok transition as well as you know your way around a clothing rack? Sling and Stones is looking for a multi-talented Business & Marketing Intern to work with us for a period of 9 months.

This will be a paid internship and you’ll be on the front lines—splitting your time between creating premium content and ensuring our physical store floor feels like a curated sanctuary for sustainable style.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Social Media & Content Creation

• Style Tracking: Stay ahead of resale and sustainability news to keep our brand relevant.
• Content Production: Shoot and edit daily Reels/TikToks featuring arrivals, guides, and behind-the-scenes looks at our circular journey.
• Community Management: Engage with our digital community—responding to DMs, comments, and tagging curated pieces for sale.

2. Marketing & Growth

• Email & Newsletters: Draft our biweekly "Curated Drops" emails and sustainability posts.
• Visual Merchandising: Work with the Business Manager to ensure the store aesthetic matches our digital vibe.
• Events: Assist in the planning and execution of in-store "sip and shop" events or workshops.

3. On-the-Floor Support

• Customer Experience: Be the face of the brand! Educate customers on the importance of circular fashion and help them find their next favorite piece.
• Inventory Intake: Assist in the steaming, tagging, and merchandising of incoming items.
• Store Maintenance: Keep the floor organized and visually inspiring throughout the day.

Who You Are

• A Storyteller: You have an eye for aesthetics and can make a stylish blazer look like a million bucks through a camera lens.
• Eco-Conscious: You don't just "like" fashion; you care about where it comes from and where it goes.
• Proactive: You see a messy rack or a quiet comment section and you fix it without being asked.
• Tech-Fluent: Proficient in Instagram/TikTok/CapCut and ideally, Canva magic.
