Role Description:
As the Brand & Marketing Manager at Finwerd Flavours & Fragrances, you serve as the strategic custodian of the brand, ensuring that all internal and external communications reflect the company’s identity, values, and market positioning. You play a critical role in shaping and maintaining the brand experience across all touchpoints, while supporting cross-functional teams with marketing intelligence, creative assets, and communication strategies that drive commercial performance and brand visibility.
Role Objective
To safeguard and strengthen the Finwerd brand by ensuring consistent, impactful, and market-aligned communication, while enabling internal teams (especially sales and commercial) to effectively represent the brand, respond to market trends, and create a compelling presence in the African and global marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Custodianship & Governance
- Maintain and enforce brand standards across all departments to ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity.
- Review and approve all branded materials, both internal and external, in alignment with Finwerd’s brand guidelines.
Internal & External Communication
- Ensure coherence and consistency in all internal and external communications, including presentations, reports, marketing materials, and digital content.
- Craft messaging frameworks and copy for key brand communication channels such as; social media, product brochures, internal memos, press releases, and more.
Creative & Visual Communication Support
- Design or provide creative direction for templates, visual assets, and presentations used by internal departments.
- Lead the development of signage, visual installations, and branded environments across offices, factories, and events.
Content Development
- Generate strategic content aligned with brand objectives, including digital marketing content, newsletters, video scripts, and campaign materials.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers, and agencies to bring content to life in a visually appealing and brand-compliant way.
Market Research & Commercial Support
- Provide the commercial and sales teams with relevant market insights, competitor benchmarking, and consumer trend reports.
- Support business development through the preparation of tailored sales decks, product narratives, and co-branded client proposals.
- Support commercial team with assets for proper tasting evaluations.
Strategic Brand Development
- Contribute to long-term brand-building efforts through planning campaigns, defining messaging pillars, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Actively identify opportunities to elevate brand presence at trade shows, customer workshops, or digital platforms.
Project & Execution Management
- Take full ownership of marketing projects from conception to delivery, ensuring all tasks are executed within scope, budget, and agreed timelines.
- Collaborate effectively with external agencies, creative partners, and vendors to coordinate briefs, track deliverables, and maintain quality standards.
- Independently manage in-house marketing initiatives, rolling up your sleeves to execute tasks hands-on when needed.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or bottlenecks early, and implement proactive solutions to keep execution on track.
- Maintain clear documentation, timelines, and updates for all stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
