Bookkeeper
Job summary
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, tracking business transactions, and supporting the financial health of the company. This role ensures that sales, expenses, inventory costs, and operational payments are properly documented, reconciled, and reported. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and trustworthy.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Record daily sales (store, online, wholesale and transfers)
- Track cash, POS, bank and online payment transactions
- Maintain expense and vendor payment records
- Prepare daily/weekly financial summaries
- Reconcile bank statements, POS settlements and wallets
- Track outstanding balances and payment confirmations
- Flag discrepancies or unusual transactions for review
- Record inventory purchases and cost of goods
- Track stock movement between branches/warehouses.
- Support stock valuation and audit exercises
- Compile attendance or hours for payroll input
- Track advances, deductions or reimbursements
- Maintain petty cash records
- Assist in generating monthly income and expense reports
- Provide sales performance summaries and cost insights
- Support accountant or management during audits and reviews
- Experience in bookkeeping or basic accounting
- Strong numerical and data-entry accuracy
- Knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets or accounting software
- Good organisation and documentation habits
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
