Bookkeeper plays a pivotal role in managing the high-volume, capital-intensive financial transactions. Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain project cost codes, WIP schedules, and charts of accounts for construction projects.

Track and allocate project costs for labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and site overheads.

Monitor subcontractor contracts, change orders, retainage, payment applications, and progress billings.

Process and verify vendor and subcontractor invoices, delivery documents, insurance, and payment requirements.

Manage Accounts Payable, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain effective vendor relationships and payment schedules.

Prepare owner billings, lender draw requests, and supporting documentation while monitoring receivables and outstanding payments.

Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger records.

Prepare journal entries, including depreciation, prepaid expenses, loan interest accruals, and inter-company transactions.

Coordinate payroll records, employee time allocations, payroll-related compliance, and tracking of project equipment and fixed assets.

Support external audits, tax preparation, financial reporting, and project cost reviews while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and construction-finance requirements.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience
- A minimum of an OND in a related field
