About the Role
A fast-growing fintech company is scaling its engineering team and looking for a Backend
Software Engineer to build and maintain the systems behind its core product.
What You'll Do
● Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs
● Write clean, tested, well-documented code
● Optimise systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
● Collaborate with frontend and product teams on feature delivery
● Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
● Support production systems and troubleshoot issues
What We're Looking For
● 2–4 years backend development experience
● Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Java, Go, etc.)
● Experience with relational/NoSQL databases
● Understanding of REST APIs and system design fundamentals
● Comfortable working in an agile environment
Nice to Have
● Experience with microservices or cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
Salary
₦450,000 – ₦900,000/month, based on experience.
