Back End Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Backend Developer experienced in Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript to build and maintain the core infrastructure powering PilotFinance. You will design scalable, secure, and compliant systems that support cross-border payments, treasury management, and settlement operations across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend services using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript
• Build APIs and microservices for cross-border payments, FX processing, and settlement systems
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of backend systems 
• Implement secure transaction processing and financial data handling
• Integrate with third-party financial institutions, payment gateways, and banking APIs
• Develop and manage multi-currency ledger systems
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations (KYC, AML, audit trails)
• Optimize database performance and manage large-scale transactional data
• Collaborate with frontend teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and NestJS
• Solid experience with TypeScript
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL)
• Experience with asynchronous programming and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Understanding of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong understanding of system security and data protection
