Auto Electrician

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical faults in trucks, buses, and other company vehicles.
• Carry out routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
• Repair and replace faulty engine components, braking systems, suspension systems, and other mechanical parts.
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, clutch, and other vehicle-related problems.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify faults and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs.
• Ensure that all maintenance and repair work meets the company's safety and operational standards.
• Identify and recommend spare parts required for vehicle repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities.
• Work with the electrical and other maintenance teams to resolve vehicle-related issues.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
• Report major mechanical faults and recommend appropriate solutions to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-3 years' proven experience as a Mechanic.
• Relevant technical training, apprenticeship, or trade certification in automobile or heavy-duty vehicle mechanics.
• Practical experience repairing and maintaining trucks and other commercial vehicles.
• Good knowledge of engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension systems, and other vehicle components.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be hardworking, reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work under pressure.
