Audit Supervisor Trainees
Job summary
We are looking for exceptional audit professionals to join our audit firm and engage in the audit of our numerous firms across private and government entities. They can fit in mid-level or senior-level/semi-senior-level/trainee roles. To plan, direct, and complete statutory and internal audit engagements for clients, ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements (CAMA 2020), and provide high-quality assurance services.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Audit Planning & Execution: Plan, execute, and complete financial audits from start to finish, including assessing client risk profiles and developing audit programmes.
- Team Supervision: Supervise, train, and mentor junior audit staff (associates/seniors), providing guidance, on-the-job training, and reviewing their working papers for quality and compliance.
- Financial Review: Review financial statements, management accounts, and notes for compliance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
- Risk & Control Evaluation: Evaluate internal control systems and business processes, identifying control gaps and recommending practical, value-added improvements.
- Report Writing: Draft detailed audit findings, management letters, and final audit reports for review by managers/partners.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for client staff during fieldwork.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulatory bodies, including the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) and Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS)
Requirements:
- A minimum of a degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in auditing
