Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Set up, test, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment for broadcasts and recordings
- Configure and operate AV equipment for live programmes, studio sessions, and remote productions
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real time to ensure uninterrupted transmission
- Manage cabling, connectivity, microphones, and mixers
- Monitor live and recorded feeds to ensure quality output
- Provide AV support during live events, conferences, and presentations
- Support virtual and hybrid meetings and presentations
- Maintain proper inventory, storage, and safe handling of AV equipment
- Coordinate with technical and production teams to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
- HND in Audio-Visual Production, Video Production, Mass Communication, or a related field
- 2–5 years of practical experience in audio-visual setup, troubleshooting, and live production support
- Experience working in television, broadcasting, or live production environments
- Familiarity with modern broadcasting equipment and AV control software
- Knowledge of live streaming and AV integration
- Hands-on experience with microphones, mixers, amplifiers, projectors, and cabling
- Familiarity with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure
- Certification in AV systems, sound engineering, or video technology is an added advantage
