Job summary
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Audio Transcriptionist to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for converting audio recordings into accurate written transcripts. You will work with variety of content types from podcasts, interviews, meetings, lectures, courts etc. and ensure every transcript is standard.

Responsibilities:
- Listen to audio recordings and produce accurate, verbatim, or clean read transcripts based on client specifications.
- Ensure proper punctuation, grammar, and formatting throughout all transcripts.
- Identify and label different speakers, background sounds, or inaudible sections as required.
- Meet daily/ weekly transcription quotas while maintaining high accuracy standards and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Proofread and edit completed transcripts for errors or inconsistencies.
- Follow style guides and client- specific formatting requirements and flag unclear audio segments or technical issues to supervisors.
- Participate in quality reviews and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of proven experience.
- Excellent command of English (or the target language), including proficiency in punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
- Ability to understand various accents, dialects, and technical terminology.
- Proficiency with computers, fast internet, and familiarity with audio editing software or foot pedals.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A speed of at least 60 words per minute (WPM) with high accuracy is often necessary, as slow typing hinders productivity.
Remuneration: NGN 500,000.
