Our client, a boutique advisory firm specializing in transaction advisory, capital raising, market entry, and policy advisory services across Africa and international markets, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Associate, Financial Advisory to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:
Project Management and Transaction Execution:
- Present transaction updates, findings, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation of client presentations, proposals, mandate letters, term sheets, offer memoranda, and transaction-related documentation.
- Support the execution of capital market transactions, including documentation, regulatory filings, investor engagement, and transaction closing activities.
- Develop and review complex financial models and valuation analyses using methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Company Analysis, and Precedent Transactions.
- Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research to support advisory engagements.
- Coordinate and manage due diligence processes across multiple stakeholders
- Prepare fundraising and investment documentation for debt and equity transactions.
- Assist in transaction structuring, negotiations, and execution.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and support deal origination activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, investors, regulators, and other market participants.
- Support proposal development and pitch presentations for prospective clients.
- Contribute to the firm's thought leadership and market intelligence initiatives.
Team Support & Operational Excellence:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to analysts and junior team members.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work products across engagements.
- Support special projects and other initiatives required for the efficient operation of the advisory practice.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, consulting, capital markets, or related fields.
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong experience in financial modelling, valuation, and transaction execution.
- Demonstrated experience preparing transaction documentation, research reports, and client presentations.
- Experience working on capital market and structured finance transactions, including debt issuances, commercial papers, bond offerings, and equity transactions.
- Understanding of financial sector dynamics within Nigeria and other emerging markets is an advantage.
