Assistant Baker
Job summary
The assistant baker supports the head/experienced baker in the daily preparation and production of bakery items. The role involves assisting with mixing, baking, finishing, and packaging of baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and baking of breads, pastries, cakes, and other bakery products according to standard recipes.
- Measure and prepare ingredients accurately as directed by the Baker.
- Support dough mixing, shaping, proofing, baking, and cooling processes.
- Help with decorating, glazing, and packaging of finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery work area, tools, and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
- Assist with stock handling, including storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of bakery equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Baker or Supervisor.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an SSCE.
- A proven work experience.
