Job summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and accountable Asset Management Officer to oversee the tracking, documentation, and reporting of company assets. The ideal candidate will ensure transparency, compliance, and efficiency in asset control processes, contributing to the overall financial integrity and operational effectiveness of the organization.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Implement company policies and procedures to ensure transparency and integrity in asset management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data entry for all asset-related information in approved systems.
  • Monitor, safeguard, and control company assets in accordance with established tracking and reporting policies.
  • Keep comprehensive and updated records of all asset registers and related documentation.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly asset management reports within set timelines.
  • Coordinate asset tagging, documentation, and movement tracking to prevent discrepancies, theft, or loss.
  • Conduct periodic site visits for physical verification and audit of assets
  • Support finance and administration teams in asset valuation, reconciliation, and audit processes.
  • Perform any other asset or finance-related tasks as assigned by management.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Accuracy and completeness of asset registers and reports.
  • Compliance with asset management policies and internal controls.
  • Timeliness of asset reporting and reconciliation.
  • Reduction in asset discrepancies, theft, and losses.
  • Effectiveness of coordination between finance, admin, and site operations.


Requirements:

  • Minimum HND
  • 2 years of previous work experience in similar role.
• Strong understanding of asset management principles and procedures. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and asset or inventory management software. • Excellent data entry documentation and analytical skills. • High level of integrity accountability and attention to detail. • Good communication and reporting skills. • Ability to work independently and perform field verification activities.
