Job summary
The Architect is responsible for hands-on architectural coordination, full design from concept through to technical design issue, coordinating all design consultants, managing the day-to-day flow of architectural drawings and information between the design team and site. You will sit at the intersection of design quality and construction delivery

Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the design programme from concept stage through to technical design issue for all packages
- Coordinate all design consultants, including architect, structural engineer, landscape architect, fire engineer, and specialist consultants
- Manage the design package release schedule, ensuring each package is issued for construction in the sequence required by the Construction Manager
- Enforce design freeze following concept approval and manage any post-freeze changes through the formal change order process
- Review and comment on all design packages before they are issued for construction; identify coordination errors and resolve them before they reach site
- Maintain the master drawing register for all disciplines across all blocks; update with every new issue and revision
- Issue all architectural drawings from the design team to the site via the project management platform; obtain transmission receipts and confirm current-revision drawings are accessible on site at all times
- Log, track, and chase all Requests for Information raised by site; confirm responses are received, formally issued, and incorporated into the drawing register
- Log all Architect's Instructions as they are issued; confirm that each instruction is acted upon and completed on site
- Interface with the Construction Manager and Site Engineers on buildability, site conditions, and emerging design queries
- Manage the shop drawing and product sample review and approval process
- Ensure architects and all design consultants maintain proficiency with and actively use the agreed design tools including AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent BIM platform, and the project management and document control system
- Coordinate with the Programme and MEP Manager on MEP sleeve and penetration drawings, ensuring they are issued before every slab pour
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related built environment discipline; registration with the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) is strongly preferred
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in design management or construction projects
- Strong understanding of architectural and structural design processes, drawing standards, and coordination requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; proficiency in Revit or equivalent BIM software is highly desirable
- Proficiency in document management platforms such as Procore, Aconex, or equivalent
