I&M Limited connects highly skilled Nigerian talent with global companies through remote and on-site work opportunities. Our Client DROTAX/NOBARI Pro Services needs an AI Developer to join our growing AI team.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site AI Developer position located in Eti-Osa, Nigeria. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy autonomous AI agents capable of perceiving, analysing, and acting across complex business processes.

Your primary initial project will focus on creating an agentic system that fully automates product data extraction and analysis from promotional materials, a milestone initiative that will significantly upgrade our internal AI capabilities and streamline operations across the business. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for AI engineers with strong Python expertise, deep familiarity with LLMs, and experience deploying production-ready AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and Build Autonomous AI Agents

• Design and develop agentic workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen.
• Implement perception modules using Computer Vision (CV) and OCR technologies.
• Build multi-step reasoning and decision-making pipelines using LLMs.

Develop and Integrate Custom Tools for AI Agents

• Create toolkits that enable agents to interact with internal systems, databases, APIs, and search layers.
• Develop semantic search capabilities using embeddings and vector databases.

Deploy and Orchestrate Agentic Workflows

• Build scalable microservices using FastAPI and containerise deployments with Docker.
• Implement orchestration, monitoring, and automated workflow triggering for production environments.

Establish Human-in-the-loop (HITL) and Feedback Pipelines

• Build interfaces for human oversight, correction, and approval of agent actions.
• Implement feedback loops to continuously improve agent performance and tool selection.

Required Skills & Competencies

Agentic AI Frameworks

• Hands-on experience building multi-step AI agents using LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen.

AI Engineering & Python

• Expert proficiency in Python and the broader AI/ML ecosystem.
• Ability to architect end-to-end AI applications.

Multimodal AI & Data Extraction

• Experience with CV models (e.g., YOLO) and OCR/Document AI for structured and unstructured data extraction.

NLP & LLM Deployment

• Strong working knowledge of LLMs (API-based or self-hosted via Ollama).
• Familiar with function calling, prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector search.

API Development & MLOps

• Skilled in building production-ready APIs (FastAPI preferred).
• Understanding of MLOps practices, including deployment, model versioning, and monitoring.

Educational & Professional Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field.
• A strong project portfolio (GitHub or similar) showcasing practical AI/ML system development.
• 3–5 years of professional experience as an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, NLP Engineer, or CV Engineer.
• Proven experience deploying machine learning models into real-world production systems.
