Accounts Assitant
Job summary
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the Finance and Accounts Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with the organization's financial policies and procedures. The role involves assisting with bookkeeping, invoice processing, account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards.

Record daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate bank and cash reconciliations.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and journal entries.

Ensure timely payment to suppliers and vendors, and meet statutory obligations.

Manage payroll processing and related statutory deductions where applicable.

Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other regulatory requirements.

Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.

Monitor budget performance and report variances.

Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee asset depreciation.

Support internal and external audits by providing the required financial records and documentation.

Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and applicable laws.

Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Prepare financial analyses and reports to support strategic decision-making.

Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of BSC
- 1 year of previous experience in a similar role
