Job Summary

The qualified candidate is an experienced accountant who will oversee the accounting and financial activities of the company through provision of accurate and timely financial advice, computation and reporting which will ensure the compliance with auditors, financial bodies, regulators. The candidate will be expected to keep the books well document

  • Minimum Qualification: HND
  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial information for management decision-making at the appropriate time.
  • Prepare/ review schedules including the trial balance.
  • Liaise with external regulators and the Company in responding to queries and proffering resolutions.
  • Provide regular financial planning reports; monthly profit and loss forecast, cash flow and variance analysis
  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets
  • Develop financial business plans and forecasts
  • Prepare all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and corporate/overhead cost allocation.
  • Implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
  • Manage all Tax and pension matters.
  • Prepare payroll
  • Coordinate and support all external audit activities.
  • Plan and review compensation actions; enforce policies and procedures
  • Manage the company's assets account, inventory, and petty cash.
  • Provide periodic reports to include but not limited to Management accounts, Financial reports, and cash flow reports.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by MD


Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Accounting and other related field 
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
  • 3 years of relevant experience as an Accountant
  • Well-grounded skills in the use of  accounting packages (QuickBooks)
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Great Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize work
