Accountant
Job summary
The accountant will handle day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, proper reconciliations, and compliance with financial standards. The role supports the finance team in reporting, auditing, and financial analysis.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and reconciliations.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and petty cash.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
- Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Assist with budgeting and expense tracking.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience.
- ICAN/ACCA is an added advantage
- Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and detail‑oriented skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
