Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Process and record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial records.
• Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT/GST returns and corporate tax filings.
• Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support decision-making processes.

Requirements:

• HND/Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably in the retail or beauty industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of VAT/GST regulations and experience with tax compliance is a plus.
• Experience with inventory management and cost accounting is a plus.
