Job summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant to support the financial operations of an indigenous manufacturing company.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documentation.
- Prepare periodic financial statements, management reports, and financial summaries.
- Monitor company income, expenses, payments, and cash flow.
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and cost-control activities.
- Support payroll processing and statutory deductions where required.
- Assist with tax preparation, filing, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely settlements.
- Provide financial information and analysis to support management decision-making.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
- HND in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, numerical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an added advantage.
