Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and management reports.
Supervise and review general ledger activities, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
Lead loan accounting processes, including loan disbursements, repayments, interest recognition, and portfolio tracking.
Conduct periodic financial audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports
Monitor and reconcile income, customer repayments, and accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Review statements of accounts and investigate discrepancies or exceptions.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
Track portfolio performance and provide insights on financial risks and opportunities.
Coordinate internal reporting such as weekly and monthly activity reports.
Provide guidance, supervision, and mentoring to junior accounting staff.
Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders as required.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency.
