Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Accurately documenting daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Preparing essential financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Reviewing and reconciling bank statements, ledgers, and expense reports to resolve any discrepancies.
• Preparing tax documents, submitting annual returns, and ensuring compliance with local and national tax laws.
• Conducting internal audits and assisting external auditors to prevent fraud, minimize errors, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Creating and reviewing budgets, as well as helping management forecast future cash flows and financial needs.
• Analyzing costs, revenues, and overall profitability to provide strategic recommendations for cost reduction and profit maximization

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess a minimum of an HND/B—Sc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  
• Applicants must have proven experience in accounting and financial management.
  
• Applicants must have strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and account reconciliation.
  
• Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  
• Applicants must possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  
• A professional accounting certification will be an added advantage.

Remuneration: NGN 400,000 – 500,000
