Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and manage and oversee day-to-day financial accounting operations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in managing working capital to ensure the organization maintains liquidity.
• Ensure efficient and effective handling of cash, accounts payable, and receivables processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with NERC, REA, and other regulatory agencies on financial and compliance matters.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions and support banking operations.
• Support external audits, internal controls and contribute to process improvements in financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in similar field.
• Strong understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards and Nigerian tax laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
