Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring completeness and accuracy. 
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Generate reports for management to aid in decision-making and strategic planning.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets.
• Provide support in financial forecasting, identifying trends, and analyzing variances.
• Manage accounts payable functions, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable, monitor customer payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, advising the organization on potential impacts.
• Coordinate and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Work closely with auditors to provide necessary information and resolve audit findings.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations.
• Utilize accounting software and financial systems to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
• Recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide financial insights.
• Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of accounting software & ERP
• Experience in a Manufacturing setup, with a cost accounting background, will be an added advantage.
