Job summary
The Accountant will oversee financial transactions, payroll processing, tax compliance (PAYE), cost tracking, and financial reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills and experience in manufacturing or production-based accounting to support decision-making and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and process monthly payroll, including PAYE, pensions, and statutory deductions
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Conduct cost analysis of production activities, materials, labor, and overheads
- Monitor inventory costing and support stock valuation processes
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with relevant authorities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to track and optimize costs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong knowledge of PAYE, payroll systems, and Nigerian tax regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
