Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and process monthly payroll, including PAYE, pensions, and statutory deductions
• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Conduct cost analysis of production activities, materials, labor, and overheads
• Monitor inventory costing and support stock valuation processes
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper cash flow management
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with relevant authorities
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to track and optimize costs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong knowledge of PAYE, payroll systems, and Nigerian tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
