Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Perform bank reconciliations and support cash flow management
  • Monitor construction project costs, including labour, materials, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and client invoicing.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory filings, including VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), PAYE, etc., with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Support payroll administration, budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cost control for projects.
  • Assist with audit preparation and implementation of internal financial controls.

 


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • 4 yrs+ Accounting experience, preferably within construction, engineering, or real estate
  • Experience with tax regulations, compliance, and financial audits
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
  • Professional certification or membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria will be an advantage
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

 


Remuneration: NGN 300,000 – NGN 350,000

Job Mode: Onsite (Full-time)
