Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintaining accurate general ledger records
- Processing payments, receipts, invoices, and journal entries
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing budgets, cash flow forecasts, and management reports
- Filing statutory returns including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Companies Income Tax
- Managing compliance with FIRS, LIRS, PenCom, NSITF, and ITF requirements
- Coordinating internal and external audits
- Supporting payroll processing and statutory remittances
- Maintaining fixed asset and inventory records
- Ensuring proper filing and safekeeping of financial documents
Requirements:
- HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3–5 years' hands-on accounting experience
- Experience in an FMCG company will be an added advantage
- ICAN or ACCA qualification (or part qualification with clear progression)
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance
- Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar applications
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
