Job Title: Accountant

Location: Siluko Road, Benin City, Edo State.

Reports To: General Manager

Gross Salary: 150,000 - 180,000

Work Schedule: Monday - Saturday

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, performing reconciliation, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards. This role plays a key part in supporting business decision-making through accurate financial data and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
  
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliation.
  
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  
• Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and respond to financial inquiries.
  
• Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
  
• Assist with payroll processing and bank reconciliation as required.
  

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

* Professional certification (e.g., ICAN) is an advantage.

* Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.

* Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, SAP).

* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory standards.

* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
