About the Companies
China Mountain International Nigeria Ltd and General Metal Exchange (GME) are subordinate companies under CCBC Testing Laboratory, operating as extended service arms to support CCBC’s laboratory, inspection, logistics, processing, and downstream operational activities within the solid minerals sector.
The companies provide operational and commercial support services across the mining value chain, including mineral processing, logistics coordination, warehousing, inspection support, shipping coordination, quality control, and related business operations for miners, processors, exporters, and industry stakeholders.
Role Purpose
The Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of both companies by maintaining accurate accounting records, monitoring transactions, preparing financial reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting management with financial analysis and operational financial control. The role requires strong attention to detail, integrity, analytical ability, and the capacity to support multi-company financial operations within the mining and solid minerals sector.
Key responsibilities:
- Accounting and Financial Management:
Manage bookkeeping, budgets, payroll, tax filings, and financial planning to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
- Audit and Internal Controls:
Conduct internal audits, coordinate with external auditors, and implement financial controls to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping:
Maintain comprehensive financial, legal, and regulatory documentation to support audits, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Nigerian Government Compliance:
Ensure adherence to Nigerian tax laws, environmental regulations, and statutory requirements, liaising with relevant authorities as needed.
- Collaboration with Legal Activities:
Support legal processes with accurate financial data, documentation, and compliance insights.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in accounting and compliance roles.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
