Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Generate reports for management to aid in decision-making and strategic planning.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets.
- Provide support in financial forecasting, identifying trends, and analyzing variances.
- Manage accounts payable functions, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments.
- Oversee accounts receivable, monitoring customer payments and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, advising the organization on potential impacts.
- Coordinate and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Work closely with auditors to provide necessary information and resolve audit findings.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations.
- Utilize accounting software and financial systems to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide financial insights.
- Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is a plus.
- Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
