Accountant
Job summary
The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, monitoring income and expenses, preparing financial reports, processing payroll, handling tax and statutory remittances, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping. The role also involves supporting management with budgeting, financial analysis and support company growth

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and perform full bookkeeping duties.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Carry out bank reconciliations.
- Process payroll and maintain employee payment records.
- Handle tax calculations and statutory remittances (VAT, WHT, etc.).
- Maintain accounting software and financial databases.
- Assist in preparing budgets and production-related financial reports.
- Monitor company expenses and ensure proper financial controls are in place.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience is an advantage).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory remittances (VAT, WHT, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
