Accountant / Finance Officer
Job summary
BBHH Media Ltd. is seeking an Accountant / Finance Officer to manage the company’s day-to-day financial records, transactions, accounting processes and financial reporting. The role will help maintain accurate financial information, monitor cash flow, manage expenses and support sound financial decision-making.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and accounting records.
- Record and reconcile daily income, expenses, payments, and transactions.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment schedules, and financial documentation.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding client payments.
- Process and track company expenses and vendor payments.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial commitments.
- Support payroll preparation and employee payment records.
- Maintain proper records of client payments, project finances and company expenses.
- Assist with tax, statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
- Prepare financial information required for management decisions and business planning.
- Monitor project budgets and profitability where applicable.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, banks and relevant financial institutions when required.
- Establish and maintain appropriate financial controls and documentation.
- Identify financial discrepancies, errors or irregularities and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and company information.
- Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Professional accounting qualification or certification such as ICAN, ACCA or ANAN is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Understanding of Nigerian tax and statutory financial requirements.
- Experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoicing, expenses, and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good understanding of cash flow, budgeting and financial controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar tools is an advantage.
