Accountant
Job summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of our busy supermarket. The ideal candidate will oversee daily financial transactions, inventory accounting, and ensure accurate reporting to support efficient store operations and profitability.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Monitor and account for inventory purchases, stock movements, and shrinkage.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Handle accounts payable (suppliers) and receivable (credit customers, if applicable).
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss reports.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for store operations.
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
- Support periodic stock counts and audits
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-4 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in retail or supermarket operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and retail financial processes.
