Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounting systems.
- Track logistics costs, including transportation, fuel, warehousing, customs, and vendor payments.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts for suppliers, transporters, and clients.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and reconciliations.
- Manage payroll, tax filings, and statutory financial compliance.
- Monitor budgets and analyze variances to control operational expenses.
- Support audits and ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to verify billing accuracy.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a logistics, transport, or supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or ERP systems).
- Good understanding of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and audit processes.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
