Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounting systems.
  • Track logistics costs, including transportation, fuel, warehousing, customs, and vendor payments.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts for suppliers, transporters, and clients.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Manage payroll, tax filings, and statutory financial compliance.
  • Monitor budgets and analyze variances to control operational expenses.
  • Support audits and ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to verify billing accuracy.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
  • Provide financial insights to support management decision-making.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage.
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a logistics, transport, or supply chain environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or ERP systems).
  • Good understanding of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and audit processes.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
